What is reader?

reader turns web articles into podcast episodes. Paste a URL, and within a minute or two you'll have an audio version waiting in your private RSS feed — ready to play in any podcast app.

How it works

  1. Submit an article URL via the webapp, the Firefox extension, or the Android share sheet.
  2. reader fetches the article, strips ads and clutter, and converts the text to speech.
  3. The audio file is added to your private RSS feed.
  4. Your podcast app picks it up automatically on the next refresh.

Who's it for?

Anyone who'd rather listen to their reading list than stare at a screen. Built originally for personal use, reader is now open to a small number of users.
